The Three Stooges - Plates

What collection would be complete without a few collectors plates. A few series have been produced over the years, and below are a representative sampling of each.

This is the first known Stooges plate ever produced. The artwork was accomplished by Bill Markowski, and the plate produced by W.M Designs. At right is the back of the plate with the plate number. There is an interesting story behind this plate, so see the Three Stooges Journal Article for complete details.

The Franklin Mint has produced the other two series of stooges plates. This first series, a run of six plates, was produced during1993-1994. The series includes: "The Three Stooges", "Tree Surgeons", "Pop Art", "Dr. Howard ... Dr. Fine ... Dr. Howard", "Yanks For The Memories", and "The Cooking Lesson".

This is the second series from the Franklin Mint. It too was a six plate run, and was produced during 1995-1996. This series includes: "Rub-A-Dub-Dub", "A Pressing Problem", "Elementary, My Dear Moe", "Funny Bones", "The K.O. Corral", and "The Pros As Cons".
